Oddments of yarn knit together to form a family

as these  small hats multiply.

Cast offs cast on, in row upon row

of splendid colour. They nestle together,

ready for the big send off.


And the Swedish sleuth is back

in his sparse landscape.

I love

His solitude and sadness;

His silent brooding;

His self awareness;

His Seeing, without seeing.

He senses and intuits

and trusts his inner wisdom to

guide him to(ward)s the Truth.

micro knitting is all I can manage for now;

my arms still full with baby, though

he is almost one.

he is not yet done;

he hasn't quite had his fill of me.


so, it is small things I make...


today, from

this nothing,

this ball of potential,

this no thing yet,

comes the hope of heat.


as bottle caps, these tiny hats

warm the cockles in houses and flats

of the olders.


it is lovely to help -

just making one (or two) in a million;

life is happening here.


and, as for the book - 

well, as I look through vignettes and verse,

in this space I immerse

myself as the mystery and magic

of mankind unfolds;

and the seldom heard truth is told

of how life is

and what it means to Be.
